About me

 Silvina Katz is a PhD researcher in the faculty of Languages and  Linguistics. Silvina's thesis is titled "A sensory study for the  translation of atmosphere in Silvina Ocampo's short stories". Silvina has worked as an associate lecturer at the University of Northampton, with a focus on the Health and Law modules for the DPSI qualification in Spanish/English. She also has many years of experience as a Spanish tutor, translator, and interpreter. Silvina was supervised during her PhD by Dr. Séverine Hubscher-Davidson, Prof. Fiona Doloughan, and Dr. Jerome Devaux. Her current research interests include looking at the role of the senses in the creation of atmosphere.
